Night Night An immersive VR film that takes you on a terrifying journey, from the safety of your childhood bed to a clown-filled nightmare dreamscape. Directed by Guy Shelmerdine and written by Shelmerdine and Teal Greyhavens, Night Night was co-produced by Dark Corner, MPC, and Unit Sofa, with music and sound design by Q Department. Auto As self-driving taxis are becoming the norm, ‘safety drivers’ are employed to simply sit in the front seat. But Musay, an Ethiopian immigrant driver with 40 years of experience, insists on driving. When he picks up a couple used to the service, frustration turns a routine ride into a microcosm of power dynamics and control in this new, imperfect economy. Step to the Line Step to the Line takes you inside a maximum-security prison and provides a new perspective on the prison system. Directed by Ricardo Laganaro and produced by Oculus, premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. From mainstream (Time Magazine) and in-depth press coverage (FastCompany) to acclaim from Mark Zuckerberg the film has demonstrated VR’s ability to tell powerful stories in a meaningful way, and it is also available on the Within platform. Dear Angelica From Emmy Award-winning Oculus Story Studio comes Dear Angelica, a journey through the magical and dreamlike ways we remember our loved ones. Entirely painted by hand inside of VR, Dear Angelica plays out in a series of memories that unfold around you. An immersive, illustrative short story starring Geena Davis and Mae Whitman. Access Mars NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, collaborated with Google to produce Access Mars, a free immersive experience. It’s available for use on all desktop and mobile devices and virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) headsets. That includes mobile-based virtual reality devices on Apple and Android. The experience was adapted from JPL’s OnSight software, which assists scientists in planning rover drives and even holding meetings on Mars. Imagery from NASA’s Curiosity rover provided the terrain, allowing users to wander the actual dunes and valleys explored by the spacecraft. Discovery TRVLR The epic VR series Discovery TRVLR is a white-knuckle ride into the curious lives of locals from seven continents of the world. Get ready to explore mind-blowing locations and events as if you were there yourself. In the first season, visit Auckland, Hanoi, Mexico City, Yerevan, Cape Town, La Paz and Antarctica, and meet gurus, entertainers, renegades, and explorers, as they stretch the boundaries of their cultures.
